When I went to tne hairdresser today,
I said I am tired of me,
No not tired of me but the way I look,
So out she came with a great big book.


Pages and pages of new colors and cuts,
For 40 years I've stayed the same no ifs ands or buts.


Never had color but had the same old cut,
For all those years.


So I said do something drastic,
I know I have to keep wearing elastic,
But this hair has to go.


I went in with grey and came out a blonde,
a nice chic cut for 76.
I like the new me,
I think a blonde I will forever be.
