Little bird I wonder how you feel?
Are you happy when you spot the feeder with your flax seed meal?

Do you feel the cold wind as it blows through your soft feathers?
Do you thrill at the first hint of warm spring weather?

Little bird your black eyes glisten,
And I strain to hear your song as I listen.

When you first make your little nest,
Does your heart beat fast in your chest?

I love you Chickadee so sweet,
And I will leave you a suet treat.
