A valentine in my pocket
Where did it come from
It is written in the hand
Of a little boy my grandson
I see him peeking around
From the chair with a smile
I grab him up in my arms
And hug him for awhile
He drew the heart himself
It is blurred and smudged
But the love is so grand
I cooked up a batch of fudge
His cheeks are smeared
With chocolate on his face
The little heart he made
Made mine a happy place
