An argosy of tortoise shell
sailed skies amontillado pale.
We drank deep from the cup
sharing time
billet-doux
between
me and you.

Lips blandish cherries
fragrant sweet,
scarlet billeted passion served.

Honey's amphora dulcet flowed
abundance bathed in dew.
Articulate fingers electric swept
delicious snails of fire.

Heretic,
I was burned
by such need
and your desire.
