They say a dog is man's best friend,
But a bird can also love to your heart send.

Our little Starbird was a companion for fifteen years.
When he died, there were a lot of tears.

He talked and was quite tame to the touch.
To the children he was a pet that was loved very much.

Taking a bath in your hands under the water faucet felt funny.
His little feet were warm, and he loved to be where it was sunny.

Crackers and celery tops were treats for which he was excited.
We cherished the day when to our house he was invited.

Starbirdie, little treasure that we miss every day.
Our feathered friend was quite a star in his own way.
