When the buzzards return to Hinckley, Ohio
One ponders the reasons. Why, oh, why-o?
This city alone, and certainly no otherds,
Is renowned for attracting the buzzards.

If your town is small, as is the Ohio town of Hinckley,
You canít expect to hit the news, not even biweenkly.
But when the hoopla is done, and there afterwards,
One wonders what the big deal is about buzzards.

A strange story that is much harder to follow
Than the return to Capistrano of the swallow.
Perhaps, if they called them the turkey vulture
One could imagine that they have a little culture.
