Those April showers
Can cause a flood.
And the insurance.
Cost gallons of blood.

So just admire
Pretty drops of rain
When you find that your house is
Right in a flood plain.

You see the mushrooms growing
From the cellar floor.
And the black mold and mildew
Thatís behind the door.

The guy from FEMA,
Comes with a boat.
Your Buickís drowning
And it wonít float.

And just remember,
No matter how bad it gets.
It isnít just the rain you know,
Itís drowning violets!

Toss away your umbrella,
Itís shot anyway.
Go buy some chest high waders.
And get ready for May.
