Near the rail yardís
Ballast strewn spider web
Spun for commerce.
Woven on the wrong side
of
the tracks
snaring
squalor.

Sisters in sin
brides veiled by trash bags
packaged hookers,
immoral refuse.
A serial killerís elopements
One by one
divorced
from
life.

Bemused by winking neon blandishments
of topless bars,
performing
on a pole
oiled
with corrupt politics
and
graftís
lap dances.

Where the projectís hapless shadows loom.
Stands St. Maryís hospital
facing a stone parody.
The Monastery nightclub
Vespers: easy sex
Midnight sacrament:
Crack cocaine.

Orange chemical powder
Etches childrenís bones.
Scarring DNA
for the profit margin
dealers corporate
talcum death.
