Yesterday was fair
Chartreuse spring trees a-swayin’
There was a hot wind a-blowin’.

Last night it hailed
Sharp rocks the roof a-tearin’
There was a cold wind a-blowin’

Twenty-four a-passin’
Not many for a century,
There’s a cold night a-comin’

In my heart.
