This poetry subject features
The Cat, haughtiest of all creatures
One can never doubt his loyalty
And he rules the house like royalty
His sense of smell is so uncanny
He can find a mouse in the darkest cranny
And during the night he'll climb in the bed
To curl up on the pillow around your head
His curiosity is endless, has no bounds
As thru each room he makes his rounds
He'll turn his back to show he's mad
And rub against your legs to say he's glad
A persnickety, finicky, choosy friend
Who you'll love and who'll love you to the end
A bowl of food and a pat on his head
Will earn you "meow", and love is said
