A sage owl
casts his spell.
Sorcerer's accomplice
swathed in
magic night.
Woven with owlish chants
and
speckled feathers.
Fowl wizardry,
patrols the skies,
which are black
as any cast iron
witches' vessel.
Soundless feathered death,
brewed in flight.
Silent and swift
embracing
a field mouse’s
last breath..
Destiny
fulfilled..
