Heading out of my comfort zone
opening the door
engulfed in a wave from Dantes inferno

Daring to leave the artificial comfort
of the whirring cool breeze
I charge ahead fearlessly ahead

My steps quicken
as I rush headlong into steam
from the cement

Only a few more steps
and I will be safely inside
where I am in control of the air

Turning the key with moist fingers
a roaring of the mighty engine
quickly turning the dial

The air conditioning hums
and I have fearlessly run the gauntlet
from house to car

Summer in the midwest!
