The die is cast, decisions made
Never very easy
Farewells are said, tears are shed
I'm feeling kind of queasy

I can't go back, I'll forge ahead
To challenges unknown
I'm ready now, my shoulders squared
I'll walk the path alone

The memories remain, they fill my head
Pictures of the past
Into the vault, make room for new
These memories won't be the last

It has been a ball, to say the least
New friends I've made by dozens
I'll keep in touch, e-mail you know
I'll think of you like cousins

So au revoir, and auf wiedersehen
If ever I shall meet you
We'll pick right up, where we left off
Tata, my friends ... fond adieu!
