Change her clothes Fix her hair And change her clothes again She scans the black and white pictures Will I recognize anyone? Will they recognize me? Nervously she touches her hair Repairs her lipstick Hurries out the door Those days of proms and dates And endless cheers at the football games Were they so long ago? or only yesterday? She timidly looks around the room Hugs come at her from everywhere "You haven't changed a bit" we all say in unison Now it does seem like yesterday Could it possibly be fifty-five years At least the eyes are still the same © Joy (JOY3032@aol.com)
