It was a quiet summer day
Barely a breeze had blown our way
The sky was coated milky white
Heading towards the early night.
There came a rumble from the Sound
Lightning bolts reached for the ground
The clouds now turning purple/black
Resounded with a louder :::crack::: !!
The wind rushed down the old chimney
Scared the hell out of dog and me!
Big fat drops hit the window pane
Here we go - - - the pouring rain!
