Lazy spring day
Soft clouds float by
In dappled sunlight
Shadows play

Spanish moss weeps gently
In silent scented air
Drifting zephyrs caress
Wisps of jasmine's elusive hair

Honeysuckle creeps
Near Fuchsia's falling blooms
Petunia's peep among
Hibiscus' scarlet looms.

A flash, a dart
Iridescent green
Delicate energy
Flits on wings unseen

Hushed air
The sound of magic
Sweet memories of things
Hummingbird wings.
