If I could I surely would
Dance across the floor
If I could I surely would
Walk a mile or more

If it was summer I would
Swim in yon cool lake
Or lay out on the warm sand
For my joints to bake

But alas these things are gone
A good book I read
Mysteries wrangle me in
Keeping brain from seed

Writing groups I find on-line
Hold my interest
Watching all wild birds in flight
Favorite things at best

Wiley Coyote passing by
Larry Lizard too
Me singing in voice off key
No way to be blue

No day goes by that I hate
Much to please me so
Maybe I can't ride a bike
Thoughts are on the go
