I peeked in the closet down the hall,
Found Betsy Wetsy, the cutest little doll.
She came with a diapershirt, bottle and diaper,
When I gave her a bottle I had to hurry and wipe her.

She tinkled in her diaper, she tinkled on my bed,
When she tinkled on me, was my face red!
Mama found me playing with my little doll,
She knew I had found it down the hall.

She smiled, I smiled, then I started to cry.
She knelt down beside me and let out a sigh.
She took out her handkerchief and was wiping my eyes,
I knew I had ruined her Christmas surprise.

She gave me a hug and held my hand,
Betsy Wetsy was oh so grand!
