Cool Spring winds blow
The grass and wild flowers stir
The sun breaks through the trees
Time for recreating

Wild flowers lift their heads
Bobbing in the dead grass
The winds blow fresh life
To all living things

Small woodland creatures stir
Birds back from their migration
Look for new homes
Buds are beginning to swell

Pussy willows will soon open
Soft, silvery grey beauties
The trees bend with the Spring wind
Making patterns on the forest floor

The sun rises earlier
And stays a little longer
Each night a little shorter
Days more warming and kind

Be patient...new snow will appear
Lasting only until the sun is full
But how we dream of the days
When Spring is master of the weather

Dream your dreams of warm rains
Mushrooms for picking
And bouquets of wild flowers
Be patient and watch....
