You asked and you were given
all that I am
Freely and without obligation

You took and you squandered
all that I am
Leaving just frustration

You told me that you loved
all that I am
You said the words with ease

You really didn't care to know
all that I am
T'was meant to just appease

Now you have gone and left
all that I am
Showing yourself a user

You have damaged and defiled
all that I am
But you are the loser

I've added strength and wisdom to
all that I am
And again becoming whole

I'll be more careful to whom I give
all that I am
All of my soul
