If I become an ostrich today
And stick my head in the sand
Will all the worlds' troubles go away
And will peace come to our land
If I go into second childhood
And go outside just to play
Will the worlds' people start to be good
And anger be kept at bay
If I turn off all news voices now
And music be all I hear
Will everything turn out right somehow
With nothing in life to fear
If we voted out politicans
And banned all war from the land
Return to old family traditions
Then would life be very grand
Or would we still tear neighbors apart
And still fight among ourselves
Would we continue to break a heart
Destroying earth's lifeline valves
