Out beyond this universe,
Blazes the most brilliant star.
Distance no scope can traverse,
Yet, for a spirit, not far.
Planets orbit that great sun,
In numbers no man can count.
Space there for everyone -
Spirits take up small amount.
Lighter than a single cell,
The essence of what we be,
With final breath, we expel
This spirit, setting it free.
The choice, though, to stay or go,
Is not ours to decide.
First, selfless love, one must know,
Or new life here must be tried.
But, if true love you have found,
You will meet again out there,
For such ties can’t be unbound
By death. No need for despair.
