How I miss how summer hugged me!
It’s embrace lasted until the fall.
Then Autumn showed its glowing colors.
But I miss Spring most of all.
On the trees, the red buds would gather.
Dainty promises of greening leaf.
Of all the seasons, I would rather
Dream in Spring, breathe a sigh of relief.
But when I look out my wintry window,
I see the snow brightly covering all.
Diamond reflections, on glittering snow,
Looking like a fantasy shawl.
The sun is rising through a chilly mist.
With colors like fire erupting there.
Day is breaking and Winter’s been kissed.
Showing Summer’s warmth is hiding there.
