February didn't cause us much trouble
A few cold days but no snow in sight
Not much rain, no sleet or hail
Sunshine was a daily delight.

Today starts March and rain has come
It pours down heavily from the sky
A tornado warning is in effect
All I can say is, "Oh my."

So let March winds blow and whistle
Through the pines and valley below
The birds are fed, cake's in the oven
We're ready for whatever may blow.

Oh the ripe tomatoes on vine
Pony packs bought with them in mind
Bright red and round and so divine

Flower seeds planted in a row
Buy a variety to sow
When they blossom a lovely show

A few green leaves upon the trees
Birds soaring above on March breeze
Children ask for kites Mama please

Up the kite sails into skies
Tail waving wildly as it flies
It sometimes takes several tries

Papa preparing forms for tax
Mama giving floor spring time wax
There's no time in March to relax

Quail in the field preparing to nest
Cactus wren too and all the rest
Choosing which twig might be the best

Sneezing for those allergic to scent
Cold of winter has gone and went
Oh so glad when warm weather sent

It must be March, time for spring cleaning.
There's the bucket and mop in it, leaning.
Scrape the floors, walls and ceiling
The smell of Pine-Sol leaves me reeling!
Once I have finished with this ugly mess,
It'll be the 4th of July or later I guess.

Hello March, good-bye February,
Some may even worry.
Hello Wind and dreary days,
Goodbye to the sunshiny ways.

Hello March, the candy is all gone,
Now is the time for March songs.
But because of old El-Nino
January storm wonít go away.

March does vary, varies a lot,
But it does not affect the sot.
March brings winds blowing hard,
Canít keep lard in a jar.

But most try March to overlook,
Thinking things may be took.
For as all do remember,
April showers bring flowers.

Hello March welcome to you,
Goodbye February oh so dreary.
Hello sun, goodbye storms,
Spring is just around the corner.

March red howled in February! I washed my car, the red winds came. What was a pretty shiny maroon is now a pale rust, and the sky above though blue with fluffy white clouds was not clear. It has been silk-screened with sand, and the wind blows on.
