I have a place where I do dwell
Amid the pines of the Georgian countryside
I find contentment within these rustic walls
And peace in the valley that I call home.
I love the place where I do dwell
The sound of birds in the morning sunshine
The breeze that blows through the back porch
Spreading the scent of magnolia blossoms.
I love the dwelling that we share
The moments of deep contentment and joy
Sweet tea and cornbread on the table
Rice and beans served on a blue-rimmed platter.
This is my dwelling place that I love
It lulls me to sleep on starry filled nights
And wakes me gently at morning's sunrise
It makes every hour of my life-- priceless.
