Grandma and I made a gingerbread house,
Oh you should see how pretty it is.
Gingerbread furniture inside the house,
Even has a sleeping mouse.
Windows and doors and snow too,
Icicles it has on the eaves.
My grandma let me help,
I helped stir the batter, oh yes I did,
Then I got to lick the spoon,
And to sop that big old pan
And add color to the icing, I did,
We made it green, white and red.
My grandma can do lots of things,
But this gingerbread house is really the best.
For there is even a bough on the door,
With a red ribbon on it too.
And a chimney for Santa Claus,
Oh my ginergerbread house is the very best.
