"Red sky in the morning"
Means that sailors should take warning
It's hard to think it so
When the sun is shining low
The day before was dreary
With the sky so dark and bleary
When the ice was over all
Like a large and chilly pall
But today the sun is in the East
Like a flaming, churning beast
Waiting quietly to rise
As the roiling clouds surprise
For they wipe away the glow
And go on to spoil the show
With large flakes descending fast
Then you know the sun is past
We will wait another day
When the sky will surely say
"Red sky at night
Will be sailor's delight"
