Another year has passed
Once again it is Mother's Day.
In my life everyday has been
Mothers Day for my children treat me well.

But you all don't know the fears
and the tears I have shed.
Or how many times I've called
and placed you on someone's prayer list.

Right now as I write, two of you are on lists
all over this country.
Now that you all are grown and some have
children of your own, you will know the tears and prayers.

Tears aren't over at any age, or at any magic moment.
Cares and fears and love go on as long as a mother breathes.
We try to keep our line to God open at all times
Because we know once you're grown, for a mother, there's little left but prayer
