You young whippersnappers, keep it rolling.
Move it shake it, keep it going.
Take lessons if you can,
Or don't.
Fill your days with observing time, cause
It won't.

Memories have their place
If you can embellish them, do it!
Do what you're tittled to do,
Have a seat in the sun
And relish it.

Never thought I'd still be here,
Beyond that dreaded Milleneum,
But I am, the days are much too short,
And there may not be too many of them.
Keep your core of peace in your own heart,
While sorrows swirl all around.

And while you're at it,
Drop in on this porch,
Sit with me,
Hear the night sounds.
