The Winter Pansy petals bloom
when snow with silent promise falls
and flakes like lace of white collide.

Their face of pouts is natures chide
and night with austere shade recalls
the day when flowers graced a room

and colors glowing bright illume.
The skies audacious purple walls
hold shades of lilacs tint beside

the patch where sleeping bulbs reside.
Their smiles will warm the Winterís shawl
and keep the cold from holding gloom.

When stares of night with ice annoy
their ebon eyes becomes our joy.
