I think
in the shadows of her absence.
I dream
in the darkness of the distance
between us.
I call out
her name and I sigh
in silence.

I think
of her irrefutable attitude.
I reach
out my arms to the air
with my eyes looking throughout
the plains of our universe.
I remain
handcuffed to the imagination
while I wait
for the response we share
in verse.
