Here in the south it is still summer, no signs of fall
We like it this way, long lazy days of summer.
Spring and Fall are busy times.
Summer is hot and there is work to be done.
Summer means more breaks, more laughs.
More iced tea and lemonade.
Dips in the river or pool.
Less clothing and more changing.
More water for the animals, and some times
A dip in the river, too.
Strawberries and cream and more salads.
Straw bonnets and sun-screen.
Sun dresses and bib overalls.
Swings in the dusk of evening.
Friends over and gathered on the porch.
Picnics with family and friends.
Soon it will be Fall and time for the state fair.
