OMG!! It's over!!!
Time to clean up all this mess
Time to take the Christmas tree down
and get rid of all this stress
with peacefulness all around
The house is quiet
Just the sound of HGTV in the background
The leftovers have been put away
for the Christmas meal to rebound
Memories are what we have of yesterday
Wrapping paper
By the ton all wadded into balls
Decorations everywhere to pack away
along with Christmas cards on the walls
All to return next Christmas Day
The day after
Is actually a day of great relief
knowing the hurry and scurry is past
Almost time for turning over a new leaf
Another year comes way too fast.
