Last Leaves of Autumn

The earth tilts
He turns away
They cry fiery tears,
His passion red
Runs through their veins
As they lay dying on an autumn day.

Solar burned
To crimson orange
They wait their turn,
Jack -o- lantern earth aglow
Autumn is adjourned.
