Have you ever seen bluer skies
as in September as summer dies?
Even the sky gives its last hurrah
before giving in to winter's blah
Glorious azure, deepest blue
white clouds the whitest I ever knew
lavender blue and royal paint the Autumn skies
Indigo and cobalt each morning at sunrise
I look up to the heavens each day
to see what shade of blue will lay
above my head, and I watch the changes
as the shades of blue skies rearranges
Nothing up there stays the same
The colors change to blue from flame
I never tire of September skies
Each day a new shade of blue surprise!
