Shoes in the cupboard
Shoes on the stairs
Shoes in the kitchen
Or under a chair
Some old and frayed
Some brand new
Slippers shabby and worn
Also a tennis shoe
Good flat shoes
Lots of high heels too
Some comfy shoes
For the walking I do.
So many styles
Of all different shoes
Be it slipper or sandals
There’s all different hues
Some real fancy
Many pairs are plain
Yet to throw them out
Would be such a shame
A very strange collection
But each pair is dear to me
So many happy memories
That’s why I keep them
You see.
