It won't be long before September comes
The August "dog days" putting us in the doldrums
And Summer is behind us once again
With no energy, nowhere to go, no rain
But September, ahhhh September brings
the bluest skies we'll have since Spring
But so will be the end of the flowers
As they say goodbye from their pots and bowers
October leaves pile up to the kids chin
November's cold comes to our chagrin
More'n likely will bring the winter snow
And we will see the Christmas lights glow
