~ O Holy Night ~

The snow falls softly on the hill
Where stands a lonely tree, still,
No wind to rustle its branches or
to blow away the chill

How quiet is this holy night
The snow has stopped, the sky is bright
with one star shining more than the others
they, in honor, dim their light

Below the hill a manger stands
Joseph is there to hold Mary's hand
while she gives birth to the holy child
All on earth hear the heavenly band

"Behold, the Son of God is born"
As Gabriel blew upon his horn
God sends his son to die for our sins
and upon his brow, a crown of thorns

The world celebrates the birth of our Lord
Every Christmas his birth is again restored
And people sing his praises and bow in prayer
For the Lord Most High to remain adored
