Winter's opening movement
Icicles dripping
Snowflakes swishing as they fall
Tree limbs cracking in the cold
Snowmobiles roaring
Children laughing as they play
Splats of thrown snowballs
Snow removal trucks working
Windshield ice scrapers, spinning tires
Concert's finale
Evening fires burn, corn pops
Violins playing softly,
then crescendo
As the winter concerto comes to an end
